06 May Metatarsalgia or Ball of Foot Pain
Metatarsalgia or Ball of Foot Pain is the name given to pain in the front part of your foot under the heads of your metatarsal bones (the ball of your foot). This discomfort sometimes feels like you are walking on stones, sometimes it can be a vague pain or a burning feeling, or it can be more localised around one or two toes.
This condition can be caused by wearing high-heeled shoes, being overweight, certain foot shapes, or by claw or hammer toes.
